« on: November 05, 2006, 08:00:57 PM »
???Let me say that i 2years a go Windows AntiSpyware Giant1 install
on me computer.and it did the job exellent.
Only easy logon or w.words, going not so easy. but overall giant1 did
catch Spyware! And there are this programm for.
But then there whas Defender 2,and its running now all the time,
and need to run a quick run per day, thats it. But sometime a message
"There change something" So a hell of a job.Do you running on me PC
and tell me this text?
Now did i yesterday the following move,i am looking in the logbooks of XP.
And I read that from the day that Defender Running he did know that i have
a TroyanHors. And later another one.
And he did not warning me!!!GGRRRR
When i take a other Virus progg,whas it a shock when i found 5Troyans,
and the logbook tell me that Defender giff a note to this book.
Than can experts say False Positive, but no,the Troyans are hide on me PC.
Its a hint off a other Forum, about this logbook and i did place a quickcopling
to me desktop. So i can now look every moment.
But Who can tell me,why every one said IT''S GOOD. And i say IT''S a SHAME!!!!
And if you think Huhhhh, o i remove Defender.
Well You can forget it.Yes you see that Defender is gone, but not really.
It is hidden for you! And after 3 monts do you maybe think ,I put Defender
back. And so soon as possible said Defender.I AM NOT UPDATED for 93 days
so Do it now!!! No a Worthless Programm!!!
Have more peaple this meaning??

 :)  Hi Cactus :

It is wise to have 2 or more antiSPYWARE programs on a computer because they all look for
slightly different "things" ; I tried the "Windows Defender" over a year ago for about 5 days,
uninstalling it because of Update "liabilities" & other Items I found undesirable. Also do NOT
     like "Beta" products .
     Now I have 3 antiSPYWARE/antiTROJAN programs : 1) Ad-Aware Personal  2) Ewido
     3) Free version of "SUPERantispyware" from www.superantispyware.com .

Hi.Spirit. You inspired me for a reacting.
If you have Defender on your comp, well he is still there.(hidden)
But I have olso running Webroot Spysweeper5.0.(but he complain that
the parametres staying wrong) but this is a top Spyware Programm.
No not free, but its good. And this Spyware programm is a little bit
dominant. So he clear the JOB alone.
SuperSpyware have i olso trying, but becours i am PandaTitanium install
must SS away.(conflict)
But i use Spybot Searh&Destroy and Spywareblaster all the time.
And the terriffic AdAware Personall SE.
After removing Panda take i AVAST4Home and replace i SpySweeper.
And If you have Ccleaner ,and let him run 10 seconds then you have all
the stuff(cookies) who belong for AdAware.
One thing have i need.A Free register tool,a good one.
I have a trial done whit JV16 and never have i a better one ,but i got not
the monney,so you understand this.
So this is it,and i wish you a nice day,and thanks for your reaction.

The free version of TweakNow isn't bad

http://www.tweaknow.com/RegCleaner.html

and Eusing Free Registry Clean is pretty good

 http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm

(use Eusing with a little caution - if you run it too much you can lose some file associations)

Mausermo, thank you for the tip,but the Free Tweak Now is in full function
on me desktop. Its a litle Tool and simply.
But your second option is a little bit risky,I see that McAfee SiteAdvisor
color is very Red.
And EasyCleaner+Ccleaner are both good in registry, but i searh
something like JV16 or Registre Mechanic.but in free version.
And if you not Know,On Microsofts Site is The Live ONE CARE online
scanner for free, and this scanner is good in Virus+Spyware scan, and
registre cleaning. Yes the hole Marketplace of windows have i tryed. But THX.

Hmmm.

I'm surprised about that but you're certainly right.  I've been using it for months without problems.

Anyway, snapfiles and betanews have the program (with green checks from SiteAdvisor) if you interested in trying it.

If you try http://oldversion.com/program.php?n=jv16 you can get version 1.3, the last free version of JV16, I'm using that and also RegSeeker (not user friendly, no help file you need to know your way around the registry, etc.) for registry cleaning.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

The warning is very low and to my mind misleading, it is saying that some of the files available there are considered adware and the two flagged in my image are adware, no matter where you downloaded them from. It isn't the site that they have issue with but some of the software on it.

In our tests, we found a small fraction of downloads on this site that some people consider adware or other unwanted programs.

Your welcome, that site is good if you can't afford to pay you can often get a copy of the last free version, save with the other link Tech gave.

Re original poll, none of the above.
SpywareTerminator works for me!
http://www.spywareterminator.com/
(Siteadvisor gives this a yellow rating. Do not be alarmed. Crawler used to be associated with a spyware vendor. SpywareWarrior recently de-listed them from a list of rogue sites. SiteAdvisor hasn't caught up yet.)
Windows 10,Windows Firewall,Firefox w/Adblock.
