Windows security waring msg
« on: January 22, 2007, 08:19:07 PM »
Hi to all, i have a Windows xp security msg (in bubble from taskbar) saying:-
avast! antivirus 4.7.942 [vps 000704-3] reports that it might be out of date.                                                                                                                            I have done a manual update of Avast but im still getting this msg every time i boot up.
The program seems to be working fine.
Would any body know why this is??
I have done full scan and the VRBD  right up to date.
The machine is
dell 3100
windows xp sp2,
2.66 celeron,
248mb ram
80g hard drive.

Many thanks.
James

 :)  Hi James :

This has been covered many times in this forum; therefore, I recommend you use the "search"
at the top of this page and use the search "term" "Windows Security Center" for the BEST
advise . I always recommend ignoring that suspect "warning" .
