Hello everyone.
So this issue I've been having for a while now, but I was just kind of sitting on it for a while because I didn't want to throw out acuzations of this beeing avasts fault. but today I can confirm that.
Basically, let's say that I have an excluded file: c:\users\user\downloads\game\lib\graudio.dll. This dll file is used for sounds endcription/decription in a game.
Well, the problem starts when I exclude it. It was flagging the file as win32Malware.gen but I am 100 percent sure it is a false positive, as I have ran it with virus total.
Then the problem starts when I actually want to modify/delete any files in that folder. It will block me from doing it. For example, because this file was excluded, but avast is still not allowing it to do its things, when I want to delete the sounds folder in the directory, which is connected to this file because of the actual encription of the sounds, it won't let me delete, it will be stuck at 0 percent. Renaming the folder also won't work. Removing the actual game folder won't work eather. I don't know if this makes much sense I'm trying to tell it as best as I can.
I'm running avast 21.4 beta, windows 10 home, no other antiviruses ever installed on the machine. I have tried restarting the computer, no luck. Disabling avast shields, no luck. But the thing is, I know it's avast because it has happened to me before on similar sercomstances but it fixed itself after a while, but now it's not, and nothing fixes it. So I cannot interract with any contents in that folder. What can I try to fix this problem?
