As far as I can tell, there are a lot of crappy AV programs on that website, but Comodo is the only one that actually failed.
Comodo is trying a different approach to other free AV providers. Its emphasis is on HIPS rather than its currently "pitiful" malware database. So while it may not perform well in AV Comparatives tests, which is a definite concern, it doesn't necessarily follow that it will be "crappy" at protecting your PC, if you leave the HIPS turned on.
What CAV 2.0
is really "crappy" at, is allowing you to use your PC while it's running. It's terribly slow at on-access scanning and relies on its list of "safe" files in order for you to be able to work any any sort of speed.
