Photos missing

Recently a scan was done on someone I knows' android phone, and now a ton of photos are gone. 3 years worth of memories gone. Any sort of program that can be run to get them back?

If a scan was done, it shouldn't just delete files, there should first be a report and ask if you want to clean.  Unfortunately I don't use the cleanup product so I can't speak from personal experience.

There may be some file recovery programs/apps for Android, I don't have personal experience of one.  I generally keep my storage clean on my own and also backup stuff to an external drive or SD card.
