It's quite sad that this same issue is still prevalent today. I have been in the middle of watching shows, gaming, writing and had things set for no popups or notifications but still at a minimum of five times a day I have this damn thing popping up to remind me my subscription is ending...
When I am in the middle of a writing zone and the damn thing pops up it can literally kill my scene and distract me enough that I can't get back to it. Writing is my happiness... I am beginning to think that maybe I should stop paying for all the avast products I tend to have and find something that won't crash what I'm doing when I am fully aware what dates are my renewal dates and that I can't do them early because I don't want my bank account over-drafting.
