What does this mean??
I am running a thourgh scan as part of a battle with Backdoor:Win32/Zonebac.gen!F
I got a message asking about removing some adware program, selected yes and the current scanner status went from RUNNING to INFECTED

It simply means that in that scan and infected file was found.
If you close the simple user interface after the scan and open it up again it won't show infected as the status.

It's just the status like David said.
Does any other message appear when you manage that file, I mean, what did you say to antivirus to do (delete the file, send to Chest)?
