Well I have been using Trillian Astra with no problems or conflicts.

I prefer to go off personal experience rather than rankings from websites that usually have ulterior motives.

Anyway I guess it's all down to personal preference. I personally like the clean look of my chosen messenger which I dare not name in fear of another scathing post from Bob despite this being a thread about messengers. There are, of course, other messenger such as those dedicated to a single protocol and then there are other multimessengers such as Yoono which are probably best left unmentioned.

I'm an EX-Yahoo! Messenger User, now, a loyal Trillian fan. Very flexible, "automate-able", "graphically great" and configurable.
