Regarding the recent topic here about (Avast5) Ashquick and the lack of a user
interface, I have also developed something similar to the batch file 'wrapper'
mentioned in another post.
This is a commandline application (VB.NET) which will generate a prompt in the
Notification area depending on the parameters used; I run it once before
Ashquick starts and again after it has finished (in a VBscript, although a
batch file will work too).
It can also be used (with a FileSyatemWatcher) to indicate the Avast database
update occurring, as that Icon seems to have disppeared also (or have I missed a
hidden setting somewhere?).
