Restore points and AIS

I've tried to use Windows Restore twice and both returned with an AIS error (can't restore file into avast5 folder).
First I've used with Self Defense module on. Failed.
Second I've disabled it. Failed also.

I'm quite sure this was an issue in the past that was solved. Am I wrong?

Hi 

Were you trying to do the Restore from within Windows or from Safe Mode?

System Restore always seems to have more chance of success if run from Safe Mode.

Hi Tech I just tried it on my system - I made an error that would show up if system restore failed, nothing dramatic and easily fixed. 

I restored and at the end I received the same warning.  However, the system did restore - apart from the AIS files.  My intentional glitch disappeared, so restore does work

really hope this will be fixed in the next build, what I didn't add to this thread:

...is that after a new system restoration, done in safe mode (but I forgot two things: deactivate avast defense module, and reboot in safe mode again after the restore phase) I couldn't run AIS anymore >>> "inconsistent state" message, had to uninstall and reinstall AIS   (services refused to restart)

I'm seeing that using restoring points could have made my computer to lose the Security Center recognition of avast... who knows.
Something is fishy and not a word from them...
