Thanks Vlk - I just got the update running, and now my sub-net finds a internet connection YES!
; however, in order for it to work I need to set the Firewall setting (under Expert Settings) to
ALLOW under "
DEFAULT RULES". This is the only way it is working. Having the check box on or off, on "
Internet Connection Sharing mode" makes no difference, and is not allowing a internet connection if the DEFAULT RULES is not set to
ALLOW. (This sounds like a quick-fix and not a end-solution update on Avasts' part.)
Should or can I
manually add the program that is in charge of the "
Internet Connection Sharing" to the "
Packet Rules?" And if so -- what is the program that handles these calls?
One other thing that is not working is the "Show notifications about newly created 'allow' rules" and the "Show notifications about newly created 'block' rules" for sub-net calls. I assume that this is what would kick-in if "ALLOW" is set to "ASK" or "AUTO-DECIDE". I was hoping that I could find out what program is blocking the internet connection by having that set to ASK and by trying to get access to the internet from my sub-net, but that never did get a pop-up notifying me anything about my sub-net connection.
