- gadget can now be removed by simply closing it

Just to expand on what Vik wrote at least with regard to Windows 7 SP1 HP

If you click on the "X" the Gadget closes.

When you reboot it remains closed.

After closing the Avast Gadget if you want to place the Avast Gadget back on your Desktop right click your "Desktop", click on "Gadgets" and then double click on the "Avast Gadget" or right click on the "Avast Gadget" and then click on "Add".

If at any time you want to uninstall the Avast Gadget first close it then right click on your "Desktop", click on "Gadgets", right click on the "Avast Gadget" and then click on "Uninstall".

I did not try the "Uninstall" to see if it works.

This new version fix the problem of avast 6 with Counter Strike 1.6 and sXe Injected?

The sandbox and the sXe injected are not compatible on Win XP SP3. The log of the sXe error confirm that:

This problem not happen with avast 5 on WinXp or Avast 6 on Win7

I hope this new version fix this problem and we can return to play CS 1.6 with sXe Injected anticheat program

I suggest you go all the way back and read post number one for the fixes.

BSODs I encoutered are gone
so it seems that some BSODs are fixed, so if You get these, this build is worth a shot

If you're having problems with or just don't like the sandboxing in the free version, just turn it off. You'll still be getting the fine protection you've been used to getting from Avast!.

okay after 24 hours of use, I can tell that 6.0.1021 beta solved the global speed issues that came with 6.0.1000. Thanks.

Hi,

I have win XP
When I click on the link free av beta
I get an error  that says  install failed 00000000 was "Spawning" ?
I have tried to download it again and get the same error
On the install window it has the changes higlighted

Am I doing something wrong - or is an error
it says installed sucessfully then it gives the error
000000000 update failed was spawing
and does not intall the update

I have tried a few times and gives me the same error  was spawning

I have no idea what that means - but I can't seem to install
the beta version (6.0.1021).

I didn't comment on anything, it was a suggestion that you read the first post for fixes and i should have mentioned for you to try a search for your issue's but you tried the new build and your problems are gone so whats your problem.

Not sure, what you mean..!!??
To update the program 'offline' you have to download the installer and run it on the machine, that has no connection.
To update the VPS: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/vpsupd.exe (Same procedure as above)

For your kind info I must tell you that we Indians are best software developer than you. I can challenge you on that even a 10th standard boy know much better Linux, C, C++ and Java at least better than you. Many a time for any reason we may be disconnected from internet so this feature of ofline update is very very much inportant. Even if when we want our computer intentionally disconnected from internet but wanna keep avast updated.
        I think you people just wanna laugh on others.

Go here to get Avast VPS updates. It can be downloaded to one computer then copied to a disk and installed on other computers.

     I think the reply given by Charyb must have cleared your doubts. Of course I am clever and for your kind info suppose u have some sensitive data in one of your pc and you don't want it to be connected to internet for example for security purposes  then you can download update files from some pc where internet connection is available then copy it to pen drive go to the pc which don't have internet copy the updates and update avast.
     
         Looks good na i know that actually we Indian always think something different. Its in our blood. thats why We have developed ourself so faster after independence and stand as a second largest economy in the world after china.......


Please let me know if you want any thing more.......?
