im new with Avast! have installed ver 6.0.1000 just now will try to use this for now and monitor. hope ver 6.0.1027 will be fully functional so that i can upgrade.

I just tested autosandbox and it's working. It just doesn't appear in additional protection. Like a prior post stated, you can access the settings from File System Shield>Expert Settings>AutoSandbox.

Confirmed.

Everything seems to be working fine, too.  Used the AvastUI to update from v6.0.1021.

Well why it isn't under the Additional Protection section in XP is still the question, when in my win7 netbook with avast free 6.0.1027 (see image) the Auto-Sandbox entry is in the Additional Protection section.

The entry for it in the File System Shield has always been there, if you clicked the settings of the auto-sandbox in the additional protection section. So for it to be buried inside the FSS, Expert Settings isn't ideal and no doubt not intended or it would be that way for win7 also.

I agree that it is a glitch involving WinXP only, it seems.  However, that is not a reason not to test 6.0.1027 on WinXP.  So far, everything is working perfectly on my machine, except for the disappearance of AutoSandbox from Additional Protections.

Alwil will likely fix this before the official release.

The strange thing is that it was there in 6.0.1021 only since this update was it AOWL.

when i did install this one my Webrep did dissiperar from firefox i did reinstall it on firefox but still not there :O

Stays installed under addons and within Avast! UI but button is gone --> FF4.0rc1

Sad that it worked the version before....

1027 upon restart made me have CCC.exe error, stopped working, went back to 1021

Everything seems good on XP except for icon spinning.(And missing Auto Sandbox in Added Protection)
As I mentioned in another post, the Avast Icon is 'constantly spinning' on my Laptop XP and won't stop. Of course, AvastSvc.exe is working overtime but I can't tell why it doesn't stop spinning.
Anyone else ever experienced this constant spinning?

You need to monitor the file system shield and see just what it is scanning as it doesn't just do it of its own accord.

If no activity on the FSS then check the other shields as it is used for all shields. If you had any background p2p activity, etc. then it should be rotating.
