It's the AIS installer.
It will perform an update of your program version from 5 to 6.0.1091.

Aaaahhh... now we are getting somewhere.

So the laptop normally should have internet access, but it stopped working and you think there might be a virus infection. Is that right?

my internet on my laptop is dial up so it not works for downloading long file. so i want to copy n paste from pc into my laptop

I do not know that.

But virus db updates are incremental, so they should be small and also work on dial up in due time.

I really recommend to updating to program 6.0.1091.
You can download on your PC the AIS from my sig and copy it to a stick and run it on the laptop as well.
I think this will also solve the problem of displaying the wrong information about virus-db.

i cant update avast. i also tried to repair it but not works. i got error. see screen shot

Please, upload (attach) the avast log: C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast5\Setup\setup.log
(or the shorter C:\Users\All Users\Alwil Software\Avast5\log\Setup.log).

If the file is too big for the forum, post the last 400-500 lines of it.
