 Found some trojans and deleted them, that was good.
 But am wondering, why it doesn't scan for adware and spyware, I thought that it was suppose to have that function

Welcome to the forum

Avast is an anti-virus solution, adware and spyware are different parts of various "malware" that can be loaded onto your system. Some without your input and some with.

You will find much info about this in the threads here.

A multi level approach to system security is your best defence.

You can use SpyBot or Ad-aware and SpywareBlaster to do this work (see 'Links' on my signature). Welcome to forums  ;)
