then explain why that they told me and everyone else in forum that they would stop updating virus signatures for 4.8 after 12-31-10

than explain to me why they lie to me about upgrading their 4.8 to 5.0 for gdata

OK, I'm tired of this.
The virus signatures for 4.8 didn't stop because there are still to many programs being used (e.g. the business editions of avast!, and also older editions of g-data), so it's simply not possible to terminate the support, no matter how much we'd like to do that.

As for the g-data engine, you are simply wrong, it has been updated quite some time ago.

Done, please go accusing people of lying somewhere else.
