avast! NetServer v4.8 on Win Server 2008 R2 Enterprise
« on: July 22, 2011, 08:53:25 AM »
Dear All,

During on implementation progress on customer site, one of our clients have an issues with their existing Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise edition 64 bit with avast NetServer version 4.8.
For each installed avast! NetServer on windows server 2008 R2 Enterprise edition, avast NetServer can't displayed on the screen after avast run memory scanning.

This happened on their two server with the same condition, even though the NetServer has been repaired and restart the server, the problem still there.

Anyone of you have same the problem with Windows Server 2008 R2 Ent Edition for 64 bit for each installed avast NetServer?

As additional information, after installed avast NetServer on Windows Server 2007 R2 Enterprise edition then avast will created sub folder on registry not on HKLM >> Software.

But after we checked the folder on registry created on HKLM >> Software >> Wow6432Node >>Alwil Software

Just want to share that this issues has been resolved by doing a boot-time scan, with force to run avast UI from avast folder on program files.

After finished the boot-time scan, then server up after that avast can opened through taskbar and program files.
