Program Update problem...
« on: November 09, 2004, 12:06:38 AM »
Hi,

I try to update with the Program Update, and received this message:

The error in the log:
...
ERROR: Package 'av_pro_d1140b' did not load!
ERROR:LoadAllPartsVpus, code:0x20000011
...

The "Copy to clipboard" doesn't work in the log window...

What I've to do to correct this? Reinstall?

Thanks

First try a Repair if your OS supports that.

Using Add Remove programs, select avast! Anti-virus and click Remove/Change button (if your OS doesn't support this you wont see Change on the button). You will now have a series of options scroll down and select Repair. You will need to be on-line to achieve this.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

Sometimes servers are down. Can you manually try a little bit after that... some minutes should be enough.
It's not necessary to uninstall, just repair your installation:
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove
Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair).
The best things in life are free.

I already made that.

I install the avast in another computer and works well, so I think that I've to reinstall the avast on my pc... :(

Hello,

I had the same problem on both my computers:
When updating or upgrading:
"Error: cannot connect to the server"

On one pc, I did a repair and all went fine.
On the second pc, neither repair, nor unistall/reinstall solved the problem.
And I use the same Internet connection, same OS and applications (english versions on one, french version on another)

Pls advise.
Thank you

P.s. I am not being able to find "new post' on the forum; Am I missing something?

P.s. I am not being able to find "new post' on the forum; Am I missing something?

This forum was for the beta version only and was locked some time ago after release of 4.5. New posts can be done in the regular avast! 4.x Home/Pro forum
