Help
« on: December 20, 2011, 04:16:00 PM »
Hi there can someone please help?

I've recently purchased avast antivirus pro and after install its failed to work after restarting windows
Seemed to revert back to trial version? As I was using a paid version not a trial.

To cut a long story short I contacted iyogi and they can't fix the issue after looking at my pc twice.
I've sent 5 emails requesting a refund as avast just won't work for me and I'm getting nowhere with regards to my refund  :-[

I've since uninstalled the software and using something else..

Any suggestions.

Thanks.

what AV did you use before installing avast ?
was your computer delivered with a preinstalled AV ?
have you removed it before installing avast ?

Hi it's a brand new system nothing on it just windows.

The avast after restart kept going back to a trial version dropping my licence out..
Iyogi have twice tried to fix but can't.

Not even a preinstalled AV that comes with all new computers except custom built desktops.

I wouldn't be posting my email address on the forum unless you dont mind it being harvested by spammers.

To use the PM you need 20 posts. The most logic method would be for iYogi to contact using your email (that shouldn't be left public BTW).

If you are still interested in solving the problem with avast, I'm sure several frequent forum members would be able to guide you.

The simple solution would be to uninstall Avast, run the removal tool and then do a fresh install

I've done this and still won't work. I'm hopefully now in the process of a refund fingers crossed.

Thanks for your reply

What address did you use ?
The right one would be sales (at) avast (dot) com; you will need to give them information on the purchase, date, email address used, purchase/transaction reference, etc.

The stuff from the email you should have got from digital river (element 5), who handle the purchase process if you purchased through the avast.com web site.
