how to disable system scan on boot ??

hi,

just completely uninstalled & re-installed Avast to see if i could get rid of the IMAP problems (will test tomorrow) and i flagged the boot-scan ... :-(

it takes for ages (and i don't want to press ESC every time i boot) ... can not find how to disable it ; any hints ??

Well boot-time scan should be one time only - or it's starting automatically on each system boot on your systenm
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving's not for you.

ah, is that how it works ?? you schedule it only for the next time you re-boot, not every time ??

Yes, that's how it works (at least it should).
