I don't think it will come through auto-updates till it goes final, apparently on the 16th July:

According to Softpedia, 3.0.1 will be a final release next week, with 3.1 coming at the end of August. Meanwhile, only beta testers or those who have chosen to get beta updates will see 3.0.1 in auto updates.
