I wouldn't advise anyone to install an alpha build SP.

Shouldn't be needed if you have SP3 and have been keeping your installation up to date with the Windows Update KBs since SP3 to end of WU support for XP.

After support ends and unofficial SP4 (if you trust it) will be much depreciated unless you need to do a format and reinstall of XP. But all of that hassle would be greatly reduced if you already have a backup and recovery strategy and making regular drive image backups.
