Speedy, what's the purpose of advertising a paid version of a concurrent here in Avast forums?

Good question.
I use the FREE firewall that comes with Windows 10. It's been there since Windows 7 and just works. :)

Because there are many that already use it with avast free - I have been using it for even longer than avast and I've had that for over eleven years - there is no firewall in avast free.

Many, many years ago in a promotion I bought a lifetime license for the cost of the annual renewal. So for me it is now essentially free. I also purchased a lifetime license a few years ago in another promotion for my win7 system.

Avast could learn something from this, what about a lifetime paid option for a no advert supported avast version. Call it what you like avast home pro, etc. (something we mentioned many years ago) for those who would be prepared to make a contribution (being avast free users) but not an annual renewal. This suggestion was however, declined.

Sorry, but this is, for sure, not a reason for posting here.
Discussing features and comparisons is another thing than promoting.

Wow, is that really a nice way to talk to an Avast Employee and a forum member who's been here since before you were born....  :'(

I somehow doubt that those using the avast free version are going to suddenly buy AIS or Premium in preference to their current firewall whatever that is. I also don't feel that AIS or Premium users are suddenly going to purchase another firewall. So it is essentially information for those already using it.

What we are seeing is prolonging the debate and keeping the subject alive, letting it drop down the chronological order would soon have it laid to rest.

Lisandro@ I think if Avast supplied a standalone firewall option it might be another matter, Avast free users have the right to use and be notified about third party firewalls imo and not really any different to us promoting Malwarebytes here on the Avast forums as well.
