Strange that I didn't have the September malicious software tool listed in mine, not that it matters I never download it anyway. However the thing that is strange having clicked to download (over 12 hours ago) nothing happens and by all accounts you can wait a day or more before you get cued to download the updates.

I did mine manually. Rebooting the system took longer than the updates. (All of them)

After whole 2 years Spybot couldn't find a single suspicious thing in both of my computers, so I completely uninstalled it. It looks like Ad-aware and even better SpywareBlaster are doing their jobs perfectly. So, one application down for me... bye bye Spybot!

Perhaps you should reverse the order that you run the scans. Personally AdAware has caught more false positives than true detections, the same with spybot, so neither have detected much but that is more down to the way I use my system and the proactive measures I take. Buy, I won't be uninstalling either I would always have two to compliment each other. The same as many do with a back-up AV, that AV may never catch anything that doesn't mean it is bad.
