It's a pity, but I can't update Foxit Reader via program updates :-[
Any suggestions ??? ???

Well I just opened a pdf file (couldn't remember where I put foxit, no shortcuts) and used Help, Check for updates, I think this is preferable to Install updates as I'm a trusting sod and like to have some control over what is installed on my system. Off it went to check and presented me with several updates, I just selected the main program update which it duly downloaded (closed the existing window) and installed without a hitch.

Security Update for QuickTime 7.2

      QuickTime

      CVE-ID: CVE-2007-4673

Available for: QuickTime 7.2 on Windows Vista, XP SP2

Impact: Viewing a maliciously crafted QTL file may lead to arbitrary code execution

Description: A command injection issue exists in QuickTime's handling of URLs in the qtnext field in QTL files. By enticing a user to open a specially crafted QTL file, an attacker may cause an application to be launched with controlled command line arguments, which may lead to arbitrary code execution. This update addresses the issue through improved handling of URLs. This issue does not affect Mac OS X.

RgGuard 1.x...does anyone know if this is safe to use now--as it wasn't in the past ::) ???
(there are different versions and sizes, depending on your browser)
by Robot Genius, Inc.
Updated versions released (? Oct 2007)
QUOTE
RGguard browser plug-in proactively warns users of danger while they browse the web by marking up search results links with color-coded safety ratings. It alerts users by recognizing not just the domain but also the full path URL that points to each instance of malware. The exactness of alerts reduces false positives and keeps restricted sites to a minimum.
