It says version 1.1 and the first one was 1.0, so it is an update from 1.0 to 1.1

I've got both notifications on my computer... v1.1 after I already installed v1.0 few days ago, so unless it's some kind of mistake made by them, I guess this can be called an update.

Yes strange indeed, especially because even in this reply, there is a notification for the older version of the firewall, but still it is newer than the one you have installed:

Odd, I've had the .276 for quite a while, maybe 2 or 3 weeks.  But I can't remember for sure how I got it, almost certainly not thru the auto-check but more likely from a direct link posted in that other thread.

I believe you either need to install the upgrade patch ( IMHO not recommended) or uninstall 3.0.13.268 and install the newest version ( which is what I did).3.0.14.276. is a new program, not an update,it came out on 12dec,I've been using since then. I had problems withthe patch

276 out for longer time for Vista, but for XP it is an UPDATE and as I mentioned earlier I received it through Comodo's auto-update feature today.

This is what I've got on my XP today... it certainly says Updater:
