YoKenny,

Isn't that the 1348 beta?
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=47445.0

Same here, you have to download the new setup from the avast site and run it - it will update it to 1351

Oh, my updater told me nothing that there have been 4.8.1348. An hour ago I had 4.1335 and only after I have read that post I went to the download page and downloaded the new version 4.8.1351.
May the FOSS be with you!

I guess I'll have to remove the beta on my XP Pro system and download the full install.

You don't have to remove the beta, I just downloaded the new setup file and ran it. It updated over the beta

Mine is the beta version and you have never had to install from square one whilst on a beta build, when you did a program update it just converted to the latest program version, be that beta or regular release.

So I don't know what is going on in this case, perhaps because it wasn't a notified regular beta release.
