i know its off topic but is Spybot Search & Destroy 2.0 compatable with online protection of malwarebytes anti-malware(paid version) and avast internet security and i didn't llke the old version of spybot in the first place and should or maybe not try it......

If you run Spybot as an on-demand scanner, it should definitely play nicely with MBAM and Avast.
Except it only duplicates what's already done by MBAM. Why install something else when you're already covered ???

Maybe because some people prefer different programmes?

Well I visited windows update and had it check as it was only showing two old optional updates. The check pulled up this update, so I don't know if it might have been reissued.

I downloaded the update and when I wanted to install it I was told that it had already been installed.
Checking the update history showed that it was installed on my system on 11/15/2012
It could be possible that MS staggers their updates.

Don't know about staggering updates, a hell of a stagger if you got it almost two weeks ago on the 15 November.

It did confirm that the update was installed as it normally does after the WU, not that it was already installed, though it never asked for a reboot.

Must be a staggered update, My wife's laptop and my desktop both got this today. Both are set to check daily. @ David, neither one asked for a restart.
