Hi,
I tried to cancel the auto-renewal under my licences but was unable to because "Sorry we are unable to cancel at this moment" or something of the sort. By now the cancel button has disappeared altogether. I would like it to be cancelled before I am charged for the whole year.
My order ID is 35247618462 and the e-mail associated with it lxxxx.lxxxxxx@gmail.com.

I'd suggest removing your email unless you want it harvested by spammers :o

If it gets the message across, I'll willingly translate Beagea59's post. He/she is just one of the, presumably, thousands of people who have been scammed by Avast's 'free trial'. Please see my post in the other thread on this subject. I am unable to log in even using the details supplied in Avast's confirmation e-mail, let alone cancel the subscription to CleanUp Premium within the 60 days.

I have the same problem. I tried to get the auto-renewal off and it stated they were unable to. I then followed the suggestion to go to the store and look up the order number and cancel the subscription through there. I put the ID and password that were given to me and it states that it is invalid information. I then tried the contact us option and filled out the form. It would not allow me to submit it! I DO NOT want this product. I don't use it and WILL NOT pay for it. Please cancel my subscription before I am charged for it. Thank you! Order ID is 13390522206.
P.S. Your cancellation process needs to be revamped and made easier!

How am I supposed to send a request if I still haven't received an email containing my Order ID? Clearly if the issue was simple enough to resolve by contacting support, there wouldn't be dozens of people posting here asking to have their subscription cancelled.
I'd be more than happy to contact support, or even cancel my subscription on my own, but if Avast is unwilling to even provide me with basic details pertaining to my order, then I have no other option than to post on here.
I posted in this topic a few days ago and still have not gotten a reply from anyone on the Avast team, even though they seemed quick to reply to cancel requests similar to mine in the days and weeks prior to my post.

My subscription has indeed been cancelled, because I found the phone number for Digital River and called them directly to cancel it.
Now I'll say to you what I said to them, Why would it be any more difficult to put a "cancel auto renew" button on the page than it is to put a "renew subscription" button on the page.
I think the answer is obvious to everyone.
Frankly I'm a bit surprised that a reputable company like Avast is allowing this sort of "sharp practice" to occur on their platform.
That's not just my opinion, how many other vexed and frustrated people have posted about this.
We just will not trust you again. How can this possibly be considered good business by you.

My entire Office Suite stopped working (had to reinstall all of it) was unable to view PDF with Acrobat (and still am, I now have to use Foxit) and so forth. So I don't want it. Issues continued even after deleting. So I most certainly do NOT want to continue with it. As part of the deal, I had to sign up for the program after the trial, which of course I no longer want either. Please help me to cancel all of this!

I can take that to mean two things, trial is expiring and you're about to be charged or

I definitely agree with you here, however the cancellation process is not ideal at the moment as the primary way how to cancel the subscription is via the confirmation email where is a link to do that.
But there are cases when someone types in a wrong email address during the purchase process and then he/she never receives the confirmation email and thus they are not able to cancel the subscription.
I am trying to convince our sales team to include this option directly into the product to make it easier for the users and also prevent such cases as described above but it will be most likely a long journey to get there.
In the meantime I am trying to do my best to help people here on the forum as I know about the potential flaw in the process.

And I agree with everyone else, the fact I have to search Google and scour the internet to figure out how to cancel this damn thing is ridiculous, and manipulative. I won't be using Avast anymore due to this experience, and will be advising my peers to avoid it as well.
If your company has to be corrected for the most obvious of options, they planned it to be like this, and I won't encourage this behavior with my business.
But thank you to the employees responding and canceling these trials so quickly, you guys are the REAL MVPs :)

I was offered to try the Avast Cleanup free trial again after not finding much of a difference the first time. While it did say it cleaned up my PC again on this trial I still don't find a significant difference so was attempting to unsubscribe. As seems to be the case from other posts I was not sent an Avast Order Id email so I can not send an email asking for removal of the service, and attempting to do so through the website using the License code gives back an error message.

If you did not receive the order id then you most likely used a different email or typo or the email went into your Spam/Junk folder.
If you have not created a ticket yet, please PM me the license id/activation code.

Be patient, a refund can take up to 7 business days. Note, don't submit multiple tickets (FIFO).

Since you already cancelled the auto-renewal subscription, you will not be charged. You can continue to use the free trial if you wish since the license will be valid for the 60 day period.

This activation code is for Avast Premium Security, not Cleanup.
Furthermore, you did not create an Avast Account (my.avast.com) for this subscription.
You also used a different email address for this subscription g**h@gmail.com
You need to create and log into your Avast Account using g**h@gmail.com and the option to unsubscribe/cancel will be there.
