Generally, you're not allowed to delete LEGACY keys in the Windows Registry.
The problem are access rights (the LEGACY was already loaded).
Sometime in the past, I have to do it and use Registrar Lite (
http://www.resplendence.com/docs/). The application has a feature to get control over right access (take the ownership) of the LEGACY.
But believe me. This happens (AAVM / RPC error) when you have a 'second' antivirus application in your system. Or you did not uninstall it correctly prior avast installation.
Can you say something about this?
You do not
have to delete LEGACY keys if you uninstall the previous antivirus application, I suppose
