Avast Free: possible false positive?
« on: May 21, 2013, 12:11:14 AM »
Hi,

My avast antivirus updated today and for some reason it is now putting files from attkpowerloader (http://www.attkpowerloader.com/attk.html) into the virus chest. I scanned the files and avast said it was clean, but when i run it, it goes straight to the virus chest. I have been using the application for my game for about a year now. How do i submit it for checking?

Hello,
it seems avast detects those files as Evo-gen. Can you send us those files please?

Hi Sirmer,

I submitted it using the contact, and through email but it looks like you guys didnt receive it so I sent the file avast put in the virus chest using the "submit to virus lab" option and added a link to this post. Hopefully it gets sent in the next update. :)
