So the question stands -- what other malware is Windows Defender blocking?
By the way, your personal opinion as to the merit of a security product is off-topic here. I am not asking anyone for their views on which anti-virus, anti-spyware, and/or anti-malware product is better than another.
That is what I said to go and Google for yourself ( try googling what is Spyware ), no one here that I know of uses it because it's rubbish, plus this isn't your conspiracy chat site to conjure up all these theories you come up with all the time, Please move on and stop being a pest
As for off topic! you are the one who changed the topic of discussion when you mentioned Defender ( not the topic title is it )
I assume you are now trying to taunt me in hopes I will use profanity or some other strange language so you can ask a moderator to close this thread.
To move on to your accusation about Windows Defender making this thread off-tpoic -- that is a sad statement.
The topic is about Windows 7 and as Window Defender cannot be uninstalled from Windows 7 and we are told that Avast works on Windows 7 then we assume the Avast works just fine with Windows Defender only inactive, not uninstalled. THAT IS ON-TOPIC!
So the obvious next step is to define what exactly Windows Defender does in Windows 7. I put forth a PC World article and you state that is wrong.
But by a careful step-by-step process you now admit that Windows Defender does something more than just block spyware, but when pressed on that you start referring to me as a pest. That is also a sad statement. It is uncalled for. I have not denigrated you. Why do you wish to denigrate me? Because you don't like my questions?
And we now have a very interesting situation, do we not? Can Windows Defender be uninstalled in Windows 8?
