Windows 10 - Everything you Need and Want to Know

5:00 PM here and nothing in Windows Update yet.

Don't feel bad, I've updated 4 computers at home and #5 is telling me that it's totally up to date
with version 10240.


Wonder if it's because this is just a Home version so further down the chain in the update line

NO, i just updated my grandpas PC with Home 32-Bit, non-activated to 10586. :/

Mine still would not update this morning so I forced it a different way:
From the following Microsoft site:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Download and run the Media Creation Tool and run it.
Select Upgrade Now. It will download and install the latest version 1511 (10586)

Mine still would not update this morning so I forced it a different way:
From the following Microsoft site:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Download and run the Media Creation Tool and run it.
Select Upgrade Now. It will download and install the latest version 1511 (10586)

I may do that. It's 10 AM now and still nothing.

New in Edge in this build is the ability to over on a tab and get a preview of the contents of that tab:

If you have 2 or more tabs open, hover your mouse over any of the tabs that are not
\currently in use and view the contents.

Well I went ahead and downloaded the Media Creation tool as Bob did and it downloaded and installed the Fall Update.
Just didn't want to wait around..

Try to download the ISO File and make a bootable USB with Rufus or Universal USB Installer

I would make a DVD instead. I don't like using USB.

The Media Tool failed 6 times. Even after disconnecting all drives but the main one, disconnecting the printer, turning on Cortana and location services, and getting the mic working with Cortana. Every time it did the same thing. It got all the way to the part where it says "Your PC will now reboot in a few seconds", and then goes back to the desktop with a small window saying "Something happened, Windows 10 installation has failed".
