Maybe to lower the blood pressure a bit, my newly upgraded Windows 10 laptop, in the "Security and Maintenance" section, says: 1). Avast Antivirus has been switched on. 2.) Protection against spyware and unwanted software is running by Avast Antivirus.
So, Windows 10 sees that things are being protected and I now tend to trust Windows better than Avast.
Reason? Although I'm not a huge MS fan, I've seen them spoon a complete new Windows operating system into a running system without a major glitch.
I even had visions of the good old days when programmers were still highly skilled specialists,

who could do without the overhead of noob managers, planning personnell, time consuming procedures, project meetings and costly quality asurance processes.

Ahh, those were the days!
