But you haven't read correctly what I have said, I'm talking about Defender with MBAM, Avast isn't in the equation.
Have you stopped using Avast ??? If not, Avast is certainly in the picture. :)

I keep it on one test system though as the recent discussion is concerning Defender and MBAM then Avast cant be in the picture or else Defender would have been disabled wouldn't it ;)

Not necessarily. You can run them both. I wouldn't recommend it.
Have it your way. This is also more security related than software and system news. :)

If MBAM isn't detecting anything then maybe there is nothing to detect.

There should always be the fine balance between what is essential added layered protection and what is just harmful "overkill".
So you should know where your AV is performing "under par", so to say. So do not add more of the same there, because that is no solution. Here for instance users could be glad to have Adguard as an extension inside the browser as AOS does not flag - an example:
Quote
Adguard has blocked access to this page

This web page at wXw.poddebice.net.pl has been reported as a phishing page and has been blocked based on your security preferences.

Adguard has found that this page may be a forgery or imitation of another website, designed to trick users into sharing personal or financial information. Entering any personal information on this page may result in identity theft or other abuse.

Sometimes I have DrWeb's extension flag issues Avast misses, sometimes I am warned by "informed"WOT user reports for AOS omissions.

And here I only touch in-browser detection as that is the special terrain I happen to have gained some relevant knowledge. So I know about the blind spots of Avast detection there so I have put up some extra "rearview mirrors" to be better protected, and also report these "blind spots" to Avast as almost on a daily basis.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

Google Docs now has speech typing and as you can see, it works very well:

To activate the function, simply open a Google Doc, select tools and then select Voice Typing. You'll need to allow it permission to use your mic. That's it, you talk, it types.
Yes, period, comma and paragraph all work.
Have fun and become a speed typist. :)

Hideaway (VPN) from Firetrust

The freemium version gives you 1/2 hr service then disconnects.
You'll need to wait 5 Min. before you can reconnect for the next 1/2 hr.

Certainly looks promising and comes from Firetrust the same people that creates MailWasher Pro anti-spam filter, which I have used for absolutely years.

Yes this does look promising and agreed, Firetrust has been an excellent company for me as I also have used Mailwasher for years.
Looks like an abundance of configuration settings/options. Definitely intend to give this a shot
