to remove Google Chrome unique ID until it's done automatically (by Chrome itself at first update check after the install)

in the meantime: (at your own risk, nothing found on Virus Total)

So what would be the general though I have, but it isn't say goodbye to XP, more so what if XP SP3 users can't get IE9 as and when it eventually arrives, it will be no great loss for me certainly.

So for me XP SP3+ will live on until such a time when I consider a new system which I think is at least a year off and XP extended support will continue until April 2014 no matter what happens to IE9.

Researchers Map Multi-Network Cybercrime Infrastructure

Last week, security experts launched a sneak attack to disconnect Troyak, an Internet service provider in Eastern Europe that served as a global gateway to a nest of cyber crime activity. For the past seven days, unnamed members of the security community reportedly have been playing Whac-a-Mole with Troyak, which has bounced from one legitimate ISP to the next in a bid to reconnect to the wider Internet.

Well like you said I should be investing into a new computer but it will have to wait until the next tax refund comes which will be by the end of January 2011, because my parents are getting a laptop computer, it'll probably be either a Vista or Windows 7.  By the way, My Parents' PC's CPU has been overclocked since we had a power surge last night while my younger brother was over for a visit. It had an error something like this at bootup:

"Cmos Checksum error"

"Warning! CPU has been changed or CPU ratio change failed. Please re-enter CPU settings"

Hi Jtaylor if you dont know what to do, you could try this. It may work.

You have to go into setup - which is probably tap F1, or F2, or Del when you power computer on.
- sometimes if I dont know the model and I'm real busy I tap all three at once not even looking at the screen
- I stop once I see that I'm entering setup
- you can reset yr computer once inside setup if it hasnt been totally borked

But you can post reply here with some info when you want
- for a start, however, navigate to the final page in setup where you will see 'save and exit' or something like
- down arrow to set to default settings or something like and click that - then save and exit

- or you will have settings categories all in front of you in two columns on the page
- same again, although this time you may have maybe optimal settings or risk free settings or something like

do same again and save and exit
but take yr time as you go through and familiarise yrself with setup without changing anything else

I think you will get the picture if you dont know already - computer may right itself straight away

Take control of Windows' Time Zones! Now you can create a desktop shortcut to any time zone, allowing you to switch between zones with just the double-click of your mouse. You can even create your own custom time zones, enabling or disabling settings such as Daylight Saving Time

Good for Windows 2000 or Windows 98 systems as Microsoft has not released updates for the new Time Zone changes.
