Avast statistics is no more on gui.Why??@petr.chytil

The stats will not make it to this release since they weren't good enough. They will be added at a later date.

Avast loading is still slow.

In terms of the UI loading, yes it is slow but I believe they will be further UI optimizations.

Anti-Spam not on and still not fixed.

What do you mean by not on? It's working fine here.

Google Chrome(64 Bit) plug in(AOS) Not install.

This has been reported a few builds ago. There is a few hours delay before the plugins get installed in the browser although (most) of the time it doesn't really install in the BETA. You can get if off the Google Store from here : https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/avast-online-security/gomekmidlodglbbmalcneegieacbdmki?hl=en

Love to see if Behavior Shield work off-line aswell as on-line. :)

The Behaviour Shield does work off-line but I'm pretty sure it works better with cloud. Correct me if I'm wrong on that one.

In simple terms, it's an upsell feature to upgrade to Premier
The only thing that such "upsell" feature does for me, is to NOT WANT TO PAY for the product once my subscription runs out. First it was the Chrome forcefeed fiasco, then SafeZone browser and now this... sigh

It's not actually installed, just the icon is there.

The Settings GUI is finally OK. I understand the most important thing is to have a good working (free of bugs) usable interface, and great protection, and only then make the interface better and better with monthly updates schedule. Some things that i think should not go in the release version... The "Running" thing when a scan is running shouldn't show 4 seconds after you opened the antivirus section of the UI, but instantly. Also, one should not have to go to status and then come back to antivirus to see the "Running" thing actually moving. It should show everytime when both conditions are met -  (1) a scan is running and (2) the antivirus section of the UI is currently shown. Also, the boot scan has a scheduling in the settings!!! I mean, what??? It is different than the other scans, you schedule that scan by clicking the button. You should also make the option to unschedule it by clicking the same button again as it was in previous avast versions. Fix the name in the settings for that scan as it is currently "??".

The GUI is not as dark with green and orange as i thought it would be good, but it is okay. It works now (or after you fix the known issues), but it is far from feeling a good interface. You would have to work hard on it after the release. Another thing that i think you have to do is to make the padding in the items popup smaller. When you click protection what shows is the worst part of the interface.

To work on this after bugfixes of current GUI and stable integrated protection modules are released:
Improvements have been done but far from what is needed to love it when you see it. In the left part, where there are only 3 buttons now, maybe show "Status", "Protection","Privacy", "Performance" and "Quarantine". And this is the time when you realise that you have done the buttons too big to fill the space instead of utilizing it better. Make the proposed buttons show constantly in the left. A little darker on hover as it is now is good. On click (active) they can become orange, like the brand is. That mix of purple, violet and blue is certainly not good. The thing that currently opens when you click some of the buttons should take the whole space, not only 85% nor 90% width. It should be dark, with buttons of 3 groups: installed features, available with your license but not installed, and available with upgrade only. There should be blank rows (margins) between the rows with buttons to visually separate better what is available and what is not installed and what is available after upgrade. One should be able to install and uninstall features right from there without the need of going to control panel, and also should be able to upgrade with 2-3 clicks from there. Settings should be merged with the new GUI and each feature should have its own button with own settings instead of everything in one settings panel. The current settings and schedule buttons on top of the features will make it. The upgrade button should go on the place of the current BETA. So the title will say: Avast Free Antivirus with an upgrade button next to it. Avast Pro antivirus (maybe with an upgrade button next to it) and so on. You can put something usefull on its current place like a news feature or something else that will popup when you click it.

But right now, 'Privacy' is also part of the free version. As I don't need it, I ask again, if it would be possible to untick:

On a custom install you should be able to uncheck options in the Privacy section.

If you didn't do that AvastUI > Settings > General > Components - scroll down to the Privacy section, that should allow you to uninstall unwanted components.

Yes. Do you see any problems with it?

On a custom install you should be able to uncheck options in the Privacy section.
That will still leave you with the shredder icon, since it's not an install option and neither is it in the components dialog.

I have just done an install over the top on this system. I can now see what you mean, that the data shredder icon in still in the UI Privacy tab. But it also has a lock icon superimposed over it, I would have though a No Entry sign/icon would have been more appropriate.

It is also the same in the Protection, Sandbox, Firewall and Secure DNS all have locks over them. I also believe these should be greyed out also to indicate they aren't installed.

Or better yet they should be grouped by installed or not, separated in two rows and on hover of not installed ones the text will change to clearly show you. Plus the lock icon when not on hover.

i can see both sides when it comes to this. they would love people to upgrade and add things on but i know i also HATE extras just sitting there. and i make sure to do custom and not install pretty much anything except the basic things i need. but for the sake of beta testing i use premier with everything installed it comes with. this way i can test out all the options and features and try not to miss issues i may otherwise not see, on my non beta systems however i would personally rather not see it at all even though i lic's are for premier i dont use those extras (i get my lic's from my company so i dont care that its premier)
