If you have to set 200% scale, you need glasses and/or a larger screen ;D
It's got nothing to do with needing glasses, the GUI hasn't been formatted correctly for small laptop screens.
It's still not resizable!

I take back my praise regarding this version. Two major bugs:

1) https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=196459.45
2) Back-upped settings don't save correctly. When I attempt to re-apply them, several settings are missing/have not been saved and need to be reset by me manually.

So what is the point of your post? the program as everyone knows requires fixed with regards to its size on small screens.

So I think we're all fully aware that this version isn't resizable.

This behavior module existed until avast 2013, after it was removed from avast 2014 until 2016 and now it returns on avast 2017 as an AVG technology. Does it have any relation to this behavior model with a relationship that existed in previous versions?

I am confused. Avast never stopped using a Behavior Shield.

The avast behaviour shield of the past wasn't all that great, for many people it never found anything. Even those throwing stuff at it in testing.

The behaviour shield wasn't listed in the avast custom install of 12.3.2280, not in Components nor in the avastUI > General settings. Only CyberCapture and Hardened Mode.

Did I read or understand incorrectly somewhere that with avast 17 FREE we would no longer have to register?
Cuz I'm sure seeing what looks like still needing to register.
You don't need an email for registration anymore, you need to click a few buttons, though.
What would those buttons be and where would they be?
Cuz 3 times I have tried clicking on the obvious Orange Register now button and my not registered yet status hasn't changed.

Two of those 3 times, a small blank white window appeared very briefly displaying "Loading" for probably 5 seconds and then disappeared.  I wasn't informed of anything after that.  On the third time, my click wasn't even acknowledged.  Either way, my avast 17 hasn't been registered yet.  What next?

So the shielding behavior of the past was weak?

It was there for some time since it was introduced, but it didn't seem to have the benefit/potential that was hoped for. It was a rare event if an alert was mentioned in the forums.

That said it in a way depended on the users browsing and security habits as to whether or not they were likely to encounter any condition/behaviour that would trigger the behaviour shield.

1) I ran a boot time scan and the scan result is not logged within the scan history panel
Works for me, see screenshot.

I dont get a log at all the boot time scan finishes but no log is made.

Hi again I just re ran the Boot time scan and still no log is made in the scan history section of avast. I google the issue it seems I am not the only one with this issue please view this avast forum page: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=196494.0

DavidR who is a Avast Überevangelist like your self states no log is made and gives the following reason why, I quote:

"2. Since the boot-time scan is essentially done before windows has started fully, it can't update things like the scan history."

The person who posted the problem like my self stated there use to be a log within the scan history section and now it is not showing anymore. What i find strange is that your screen shot shows a Boot time scan log shown within the scan history and there is another person with my issue and DavidR who is a Avast Überevangelist like your self stated its not a issue whereas you proven otherwise it is a issue. Please fix this

DavidR is also within this forum to, your showing a image where a log is made and he is stating its no issue. Please can you decide if this is a issue or not because both ur statements are contradicting. You have a image proving the boot time scan log is indeed created whereas DavidR states it cant be, PLEASE FIX this issue.

Thank you
