Very good news Bob. I am very glad to hear this. My wife and I will be sending our prayers for what we know will be a successful operation. Take care.  :)

A further update:
Since this is life, we can't always expect things to go exactly as planned.
We've been informed that Alices transplant has been resceduled to
7 Am tomorrow morning.
I guess since this is Easter Sunday, there was probably a delay in obtaining
the organs.
This is going to be a long night but we'll have company in a few hours.
My youngest daughter is flying in from Albuquerque.

One of our many bellings and treasures in our life. :)
You're fully right... What will be of us without our family, friends and so on...
I can't even imagine my life  ::)

We have a very close and large family and extended family.
Mine is not that big but I think the number of friends (real and close friends) is increasing.
I need them as I need to breath. I can't live alone and without loving and being loved.

Ok Alice is  now in the operating room and by now probably asleep.
The Transplant was moved up to 6 am  or in a few  minutes from now
The procedure should take between 5-6 hrs and then she'll be in recovery for an additional 2-3 hrs.
Her doctor will update us after the actual transplant is completed.

Hi everyone,
Here's the latest information:

They finished Alice's transplant at Noon.
It took a total of 6 hours.
We were told that everything went like clockwork.
The doctor that performed the transplant said
"She received a beautiful liver"
It's now 8:30 PM and Alice is still under sedation.
She has opened her eyes a few times but so far,
it seems to only be a reflex action.
We've already been told that this is quite normal since
no two people react the same way to the drugs that are used to keep
keep them sedated during the surgery.
I'll do another update as soon as there is more to report.
