Question on Behavior shield Advanced Threat protection, if data sharing with 3rd parties is off,  do we still have protection from Advanced Threats?   Or does it specifically require it to be on for it to function in Avast Free Version?

Concerned over this deeply, as not sure on sharing data with 3rd parties, usually always switch that off

That's exactly why Avast asked for logs. They may reveal what changed and what's causing the conflict.

I just sent my log to Avast and here's the screenshot

Right , exceptions tab also "Choose specific files, folders or ....." not translated or some other buttons like "see more" , "open old settings" , "view exceptions"
about translations : Okay for these.

but a lot of new ones :mainly in the " troubleshooting " tab (delay avast startup, still having problems? Back-up your avast settings, prevent malware from .... , provide extra protection ....,allow you to use,...) , and in "virus scan" : your report file will be automatically ......
Hello,
still no change  :-[
Last week's translations came through a VPS update, would it be different here.

Installed fine on my Toshiba Windows 10 Laptop .. But the UI is horrendous .. Please bring back the one from the prior version. At least that was easy to read and navigate. I used the Full Off Line Installer for the update. Not sure if it used a 64 bit install or 32 bit (laptop is running Windows 10 Home 64) ... Has anyone tried to see if this will install on XP (some us, like me, just use: File, Web, Behavior Shields, Rescue Disk) ? ? ?

The installer covers both.

I dont like the new add exception setup, Before I could just as exceptions to the Sheild and sheild  only so as scans would still scan those folders, now the exceptions is for everything, so If i add my games folders to exceptions the shield dont scan my  game as I use them it also make system scan out right ingore those folders too. I DO NOT like that that please bring be exceptions for the shield

After updating to this new version (Avast! Free), I can no longer find any controls to set the scheduled scan date/time for a full scan. The Settings link under the Full Virus Scan (from Protection->Virus Scans) contains nothing about scheduling. There is also a clock icon under the Full Virus Scan panel, but it only shows when the scan will run - no controls for setting/changing it. This clock icon is not clickable - the scheduled scan time only appears in a pop-up which is also not clickable.

In previous versions, the scheduling controls were easily found and intuitive. Have these controls been hidden somewhere else or are they simply missing in this release? I think the scheduling settings have been missed and should have been part of the Settings menu tree.

We work on a new scheduling, it will be live in approx 2 weeks.
Thank you! This is the response I was hoping for. I look forward to the update.

Reported to Avast let's see if that gets us an answer.

Does anybody know if the problem with Avast shutting down by itself and then trying to restart over and over six or more times a day every day since the ver 19 update has been addressed and will it be fixed?
