Cannot connect to Service

Avast is not working properly. It's showing a status of "You are not protected. Cannot connect to service".
Do not know what to look for in the system log to detect the cause of this problem. Anyone to advice? Help?

you can send us support package (https://support.avast.com/en-eu/article/Submit-Mac-Security-support-file); we may potentially see what is wrong from it.
