Anything relating to Politics, Religion, Sexuality, etc. (two out of three) generally deteriorates rapidly and I think should be avoided in the General forum, If you wish to talk about it no doubt there are many sites dedicated to such material.

If I received such an email it would be despatched as spam to the bit bucket in the sky, so I feel the same way in the forums.

The fact that we have a large degree of leeway in the General forum I think this is way OT.

Have to agree with David.
I was half tempted to discuss removing the post. because it
infringed on the religious aspect of the do's and don'ts.
A joke is fine if it's in good taste. This has all the earmarks of
a cause which has many sides and when that happens, a fight ensues.
My agreeing or disagreeing with you on the merits of what you posted have
nothing to do with why this post should not be here.  :)

The only mention of religion is in the title. Nothing is said about it at all otherwise. I would have read the email if I would have gotten it.

Yep, Chris Thomas,

And how would the IT guy know what you have been downloading, want to find out, then go here: http://www.youhavedownloaded.com/
This is a new search engine made just for the fun of making it. But I think big industry has been doing this to us for years now,

WOT doesn't like the site and reading some of the comments I have to doubt its accuracy.

http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/youhavedownloaded.com

EDIT: Seeing this is an IP based list, it is going to be inaccurate in that for most people are goint to be dynamically assigned an IP address. Whilst this may change infrequently, it does change unless you pay for a fixed IP address. Not to mention the use of anonymous proxies.

Hi DavidR,

I know why you frown upon that link. This just to get an idea of what people may generally download. These guys just wanted to develop a crawler that would cost them less than 300 bucks.

Not me that frowns on it, just noting WOT doesn't like it and that the comments are generally based on the inaccuracies of it.

Hi DavidR,

Understood, but that is only the WOT webrep report,
because webutation holds quite another view:  http://www.webutation.net/go/review/youhavedownloaded.com
Spamcheck gives it as safe, Google Safe Browsing also safe as well as Unmasked Parasites.
The webserver there gives details away via "X-Powered-By" HTTP Header" which is a small minus,
but then that is up to the webmaster(s) there.
BitdefenderTrafficLight has a green, M86 security gives also green for this site.
