Got it and I noticed on the summary popup it showed an update for the updater - is that new or have I missed that before

hmm i got popup about Avast! News popup about SC Awards 2006 just while updated was progressing ... weird :)

what about put into news some VB100 and CHM ones ? :)

Updated to 4.7.1087 all seem's fine just at times i get this pop up error about running script on this page when im surfing sometimes i don't know if it has anything to do with avast or not? Drives me a bit mad sometimes!!

When will v5 be out and what will be new in it?

Hello and PLEASE HELP as soon as possible!!!!!!!
I had a version home edition 4.7.1074.
Everything looked just fine, till today.
I had a note from windows security alert (XP) that the registration key has expired (in program writes that it's valid till july 2008.) and that my computer might be in risk, although avast  was automaticaly updated.
I cannot open my gmail at all...also when I'm opening yahoo mail,I get notice about popups...everything is very bad.
So I've read this topic, and I've installed (without uninstaling former 1074 version) 1087...
I've restarted my laptop, and nothing has changed...
I still have this note from windows security centar in a red colour 'tellin ' me the same thing.
What have I done wrong???? What to do!??
Please help me as soon as possible, cos I cannot open my gmail at all

I'm sorry for taking your precious time...
I must say that THERE'S NO PROBLEM with avast 1087 (for now)...
The main problem was that before I started to download new version, I accidentally changed my date settings- so that was the problem.
2 moderators: thank You for Your time, and please remove my posts, so people wouldn't think that problem with this version exists :)

You can modify your posts clearing out the text, with a short explanation, e.g. "edited, problem unrelated to beta version" would do.

If posts were removed then replies to the post may seem strange.

Normally only regular release versions have a history entry in the web site. But going through all of the info here will possibly give an idea.
