I have recently installed the Windows 7 Professional RTM MSDNAA version, and I positively love it, except for the annoying fact that it always reports avast! antivirus as out of date. I have updated both the iAVS and avast! program using the system tray context menus. So I'm not sure what to do. My system clock is updated, and I really do not want to disable the security center alerts because they really do help. Please help me with this. Thanks.

Try a repair of avast. Add Remove programs, select 'avast! Anti-Virus,' click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow. This has in the past resolved this out of sync issue between reported and actual VPS version.

Did you use any other antivirus?
Microsoft Security Essentials?

That worked like a charm.

Welcome to the forums.

Not many use the search function to find an answer before posting ;D

Bump  ;D

It seems that 2 years later the sync problem still occurs in Win7.  The good thing is that repairing Avast worked for me too.

Search function == good.
