Only one problem I've found with the webrep for chrome is that if ur on facebook for a while, it makes facebook slow & makes chat & stuff start to lag...

I have downloaded and installed Avast 6.0.1091 on both of my Dell's.  One was still Avast 5.0 and the other was Avast 6.0.1000.  They both installed perfectly. Both were downloaded over the other program, not a clean install.  No problems with WMP 11 on either. Then I installed the latest free ZoneAlarm on my desktop Dell with no problems.
I am very pleased.  Thank you for offering this software to home users for free.

Upgraded my mom's emachine XP home x64, with free, avast 6.0.1091. Went smoothly, no problems,  WMP 11, no problems.  It is well worth the wait.  Thanks Avast!  You are appreciated.

I ran into this issue couple of weeks ago,and the issue is I believe caused by installing SP1 for Windows 7 x64.Avast slows down my internet traffic (Youtube and other video streaming services especially).Are you aware of this issue? Are you working on getting it fixed? When I turn of the web shield,everything speeds up and youtube loads up much faster.

Well bob I understood your point but there are many antiviruses without a web shield that protect very well. Norton and Avira free for one. The file shield will stop those nasty's.

Do you really mean that Avast Webshield isn't an extra layer of protection in addition to Fileshield?

For me it is.  :)

Well GrandPrixGXp or Dieselman which ever you'd like to call yourself, I like to intercept an
infection as soon as at all possible. Why wait till it's on your system if you can stop it dead in it's
tracks before ever reaching your system.

Just noticed this incredible scan speed, scanning all drive, with everything set to high and scanning all packers....

I just updated 3 computers. My vista on the script shield shows files scaned, but on the two windows 7 64bit they show 0/0. I tried a repair on one of the windows 7 but did not help. Is this a problem with the program or do I need to try a reinstall? All other shields seem to be ok. sorry for the two post but the first one looked like it did not go through.

Upgraded Vista 32-bit from v.1044 to 1091 on a previous Custom Install with no problems at all. :D  I'm very happy.  Thank you Avast!
