This is true.
I have the strangest dreams sometimes. This one last night was something.
I'm in my younger days, like 30, and I'm sitting at the counter in a diner ,drinking coffee and talking with this nice looking waitress. All of a sudden she says,
"Hey, I get off here pretty soon. Would you like to go somewhere and maybe have a little fun?"
I say, "Sure, that sounds good."
So then she says, "Okay, but I think we need something to really get us in the mood and loosened up. There's a little liquor store nearby. You go pick something up and meet me back here."
I go out , look around, and see this little beer and wine place. I go in and both sides are lined with cooler doors with cans of beer and bottles of wine. There's a counter at the end and a little Chinese guy behind it. I go up to the counter and say, "Hello, I'd like to get some wine."
The Chinese man says "No, sorry, no wine.
I say, "What about all those bottles in the coolers?"
He goes, "Not for sale."
So, I say, "Okay, how about a couple of beers then?"
He says, "No singles."
I say "Okay, a 6-pack?"
He says, "No, must buy whole case."
I ask, "What about all those cans in the coolers?"
He says, "Plastic, not real".
So I ask, "You fill up the coolers with plastic cans and bottles?"
He goes, "No, no coolers, ALL plastic, stuck to walls."
So I say, "So, I have to buy 24 cans in a cardboard tray?"
He goes, "No, that not case. That is tray. Tray goes in wood box called crate. Ten trays in crate. Then crate goes in bigger wood box called case. Four crates in case."
I'm incredulous and ask, "You're telling me I have to buy almost 1,000 cans of beer?"
He says, "Yes, very good deal, special order, take 2-3 months. Come from China like everything else."
At that point, I woke up laughing.
