Confirmed features:
- Cloud technology
Hi guys .. anyone can explain to me what implies that this change in the facts of benefits terms?
Thanks
Hello,
I did a little bit of research for you because I was curious as well, but from what I understand. The difference is that:
(1) Cloud Technology:Your virus definitions are saved on Avast's server rather than on your computer "referred to a cloud". This is advantageous because updates are faster and more up to date and the antivirus won't be using your comp's processors.
I'm not sure but from what I gathered, you need to be always connected to the internet to get the latest protection. An example of this is Panda Cloud.
(2) Non-cloud Tech:Same goals as a cloud technology, but you actually have to download and store virus definitions in to your computer. However, you don't necessarily the internet to get complete protection like the cloud protection.
Which is better?
I couldn't answer that for you because I am not an expert at all. But from what I gathered, I wouldn't mind moving to a cloud technology because it seems lighter on resources and has real time updates.
P.s.
If any part I wrote was wrong, someone please correct it accordingly. Thanks
