"Program Settings..." in tray system...
« on: November 17, 2004, 05:27:49 PM »
Hi,

I installed the avast! Home Edition in another pc, and the "Program Settings...", in tray system, didn't work until I clicked in the "Start avast! Antivirus".

Is this normal, or a bug?

Thanks
Avast Free Antivirus: Web Shield & Home Network Security.

I've installed "Internet Mail", "Network Shield", "Instant Messaging", "Standard Shield" and "P2P Shield".

What OS is this? I'm not able to simulate the problem.

Thanks Vlk.

Strange... Mine is the same and it's ok?
Is it a fresh installation or an update of the 4.1?
(I updated 4.1 > beta > 4.5)

I did a few fresh installs of v4.5 on my XP Home SP2 machine this week. :-( Each time, I got this "Program Settings" quirk.

What exactly does it mean that it "didn't work"? Nothing happens, or some kind of error message is given?

I solve the problem with a new Registration (use the same Home version number key but registered again, enter the number...) and a boot.  ;)
