I agree bob   (and it took 77 seconds to post that last message from me btw)

The other thing here is that newcomers coming into this forum seeking help are going to get REAL frustrated real fast and not even bother and may just give up on Avast completely if they cannot find help.

During the period this board stays slow, people can use the chatbox which is still open. I hope some of the helpers here (Alwil staff?) also join there to give support to those who need it.

How can you give support when you have to sit and wait every time you have to access the board. you wait first to get to a forum.... then to open a post.... then to open the New Message window..... sent ,if a search is needed, you wait again.(a search is almost impossible) and then you have to wait while the answer is posted.
Again, this is not a criticism of avast! (Remember, I'm a proud  PRO  user and wouldn't give it up for the world.

Before anyone jumps to a wrong conclusion, let's keep in mind that Alwil (Avast) hires the servers and that it is a 3rd party that is running/maintaining them. So please do not blame anyone for it before we know what is causing this.

Also keep in mind that the current slowness of this board has nothing to do with the support that Alwil and others are giving for Avast. ;)

I'm getting 0.118 sec. I'm sitting on sloooow connection now, so I don't see the differrence that much  :-X

Eddy..     I, for one,  am not blaming anyone...   just commenting on the slowness we are all experiencing.     And,  the quality of the support is of course still here,  whether the response time is slow or not.    As bob has sad though,  its very frustrating,   and for you and others who normally are able ot help people very quickly its GOT to be a pain in the tush.

In addition to the big "page generation" times occasionally, I also get >10s delay sometimes - but the page footer still shows 0.11s.

kubecj - can we see all those killed hens please ? Hehe  ;D I want to see how they look like after heavy Alwil hand "touched" them...  ;D

Now I know how KFC (K_entucky Fried Chicken) came up with idea for their business... at first they ran few servers, and when they had similar problems, they killed few of those hens... after few years... well, we all know the rest...  ;D

Still slow...  :'(
