I totally disagree since I personally don't have the program portion of avast! update feature set to automatic.
It wasn't till I noticed this post that I realized avast!6 was ready for an update.

Nvidia has released the 270.61 WHQL certified driver. This driver is for GeForce 6 and higher desktop cards. It adds support for the new GeForce GTX 500 series cards, and improves performance on the GTX 400 and 500 series in several games. The driver also has Nvidia Surround improvements, incorporates the 3D Vision driver in the core driver package, adds a new Nvidia Update checking feature, along with other changes and fixes. I don't have update feature set to automatic but as I was running the previous update v6.0.1086 I was notified immediatly it was available after it was updated yesterday at 03:10:18 PM
